2025-II draws much of its inspiration from the people, objects, and memories of Malmö, Sweden. I have spent countless hours in my favorite antique store, stuffed to the brim with treasures. Over the years, I’ve had many conversations with the shop keeper about native Malmö designers, among other things.
It was here that I discovered and bought Art Deco water glasses, which inspired the ridged Quartz Ellipse series. A family friend whom I looked up to as a child, had a style that blended Scandinavian and Parisian influences. Her hair was always done simply and naturally, but often finished with an ornament. That memory was the starting point for the Ellipse Hairclip and the Beaded Chignon Net.
The pieces in this collection were shaped by different moments but share a visual language.
Photographed in the apartment where I often stay, that familiar setting helped bring them together with a sense of visual coherence.
